Maharashtra is a state that offers much in terms of diversity, both culturally and geographically. From the misty hills of Lonavala and Panchgani to the sprawling metropolitans of Mumbai and Pune, there’s a lot to be seen and even more to discover.

It’s little wonder as to why taking a bus through Maharashtra is a popular means of transport. The roads are smooth, and the magnificent views of the Sahyadhris on the long winding ghats are a thrill for both first time and returning travellers.

While there are many places the to travel to in Maharashtra, the most popular routes go through the cities of Mumbai and Pune. Famous for being the tinsel town of Bollywood, Mumbai is a shopper’s paradise, and also boasts a rich heritage with famous monuments and sightseeing spots like the Gate of India and Juhu Beach.

If you haven’t visited Pune yet, then a heritage tour of the city is the best way to explore it.

One also finds people travelling between cities, like people who travel to Aurangabad from Nagpur with Aurangabad to Nagpur buses where one can find the famous Ajanta and Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Aurangabad, and Nagpur is well known for it’s wildlife parks like Tadoba and Nagzira. If that isn’t enough incentive, the landscape on the bus ride there is just one of the things that makes this an experience to remember!
