COUPLES THAT TRAVEL TOGETHER, STAY TOGETHER!

Posted by Priyanka Lahiri on February 22, 2017

Travelling with different kinds people is always a unique experience. But if your life partner is the one with whom you create the best memories, who understands and relates to your way of travel, then you can look forward to a lifetime of exciting trips.
Travelyaari had a pleasure to interact with two such lovely couples who rediscovered their love and togetherness by traveling together

AJITESH & ROMANI:

Ajitesh and Romani, the Travelling couple

Ajitesh and Romani

1) What makes your partner somebody you love to travel with?

Ajitesh: She is my soulmate! Romani and I share identical tastes when it comes to choice of travel destinations, authentic food and adventures.
Romani: Apart from being my love, Ajitesh is adventurous, a good planner and total foodie just like me who loves experimenting with all kinds of food.

2) Has traveling together brought you closer? If yes, how?

Ajitesh: Travelling has definitely brought us closer. That’s one common area which has served as an eye opener when we discovered how our unusual interests were quite complementary. Ask the selfie queen, how patient am I with the camera on me!
Romani: Travelling has definitely brought us closer as we could get to know each others’ interests more while traveling. It is one interest for which both of us can always find time out of our busy schedules.

3) Tell us some of the places you’ve both been to recently?

Ajitesh: Bangkok, Phuket and Maldives.
Romani: Thailand, Maldives, Aamby Valley… more to go in near future!

4) One memorable moment on your travels together?

Ajitesh: It was when we decided to take a swim in a rock pool amidst a couple of sharks and eels!

5) One place on your wishlist where you want to travel to as a couple and why?

Ajitesh: Transylvania, Romania. That is because we would like to meet the Count, not because they named the country after my wife!
Romani: As we both are beach lovers & adventurous, the one thing on our wishlist is New Zealand, where we plan to explore marine life & water sports!

SAKSHI & PRANAV:

Sakshi and Pranav, the travelling couple

Sakshi and Pranav

1) What makes your partner somebody you love to travel with?

Sakshi: Pranav is someone who has similar interests as mine. We both enjoy traveling together. He is a very happy-go-lucky guy which makes it easy to travel together!
Pranav: We have known each other for a very long time. She knows me inside and out. It’s a fun challenge to please her everyday and make everything an experience worth cherishing. We love each other’s company and we can’t replace that, just like a Youtube Video.

2) Has traveling together brought you closer? If yes, how?

Sakshi: Yes it has. We are both working & thus we are unable to spend quality time together. When we are traveling together, there’s enough time to invest in each other, to talk & explore more about each other.
Pranav: Initially when we were dating, we traveled a little and that did play a huge role in us bonding. Taking time off to explore new destinations and more importantly, getting to know each other is definitely easier when you’re out of your comfort zone. When faced with challenges and experiences, we have slowly learnt more about each other.

3) Some of the places you’ve both been to recently?

Sakshi: We just went to a trip to Pondicherry. We were planning for a long time and it just sort of happened, which makes it one thing off the bucket list!
Pranav: Every 2-3 months, we take a trip around in & around Delhi. We have recently covered places like Pondicherry, Mumbai and Amritsar.

4) One memorable moment on your travels together?

Sakshi: Disneyland at Orlando! I don’t even have words to explain it. While booking the tickets, you think that it’s going to be too childish to enjoy, but it was amazing! We saw more adults than children there!
Pranav: Hands down, I would say my honeymoon. It was a bit of a horror story, in the most romantic sense possible. Both our credit cards weren’t working but it was still a wonderful trip, and it definitely brought us closer together! We did budget travel, but all that goes out the door when you’re actually on the trip!

5) One place on your wishlist where you want to travel to as a couple and why?

Sakshi: Edinborough is on the books right now. Pranav knows that I love nature so that’s the next big destination for us.
Pranav: It’s hard to limit this to one destination, but Dubai is definitely on the books. Paris as well!
